The Sunshine Underground have announced details of the release of a new single and UK tour. Their third single, I Ain't Losing Any Sleep, will be released through City Rockers on Monday May 15th 2006.

Produced by Segs and Steve Dubb and recorded at the Dairy in London, the single will be available on 7" and CD and features new tracks Who Called The Dandy and Somebody's Always Getting In The Way.

The band are currently in the middle of an extensive headline tour across the UK to coincide with the single release. The remaining dates are as follows:

APRIL
27th Truro Tuck Shop
28th Birmingham Bar Academy
29th Middlesbrough Empire
30th Coventry John Taylors

MAY
2nd Glasgow King Tuts
3rd Manchester Late Room
4th London Dingwalls
6th Hull The Lamp
20th Leeds Metropolitan Uni

Tickets are available via www.gigsandtours.com and are priced at £6 (apart from London where they will be £7.50 and Leeds where they are £9).

The four members met in their native Shrewsbury and collectively moved to Leeds a couple of years ago. By the start of 2005 the band had signed to City Rockers and in July of the same year released their debut single, Put You In Your Place. A second single, Commercial Breakdown, garnered acclaim from XFM and the NME while their raucous live shows were met with universal praise.

The band are currently putting the finishing touches to their debut album, which is being recorded with Dan Kahuna (FC Kahuna), Segs and Steve Dubb. The long player is planned to be released in the early autumn of 2006.

The Sunshine Underground are: Craig Wellington (vocal / guitar), Stuart Jones (guitar), Daley Smith (bass) & Matthew Gwilt (drums).
