THE PRESETS present ‘Are You The One’ the first storming single from their forthcoming debut opus Beams.

Kim Moyes and Julian Hamilton are The Presets. Formed in 2003 and rapidly snapped up by Modular. Influenced by the diverse likes of The Cure, Trans Am, Prince, Supercollider, and the Happy Mondays, they make music that ranges from emotive electro ballads to industrial dancefloor destruction, or as Kim describes it; “spazzzdancefagrock”. Their live show is an awesome spectacle of swathes of neon synths, crashing drums, theatrical vocals and good old fashioned stage craft.

'Are You The One’ is an electro rock blitzkrieg – singer and keyboard player Julian Hamilton describes it like “Football hooligans playing Brazilian house music” With it’s heavy piano chords, disco hand claps, scything cymbals and anthemic chorus it’s sure to cause dance-floor devastation.

Remixes come courtesy of Modular’s bright young things VAN SHE (you’ll be hearing a lot more about these guys later in the year) reimagine the original as a low slung riff monster ala XTRMNTR era PRIMAL SCREAM. Men of the moment SIMIAN MOBILE DISCO provide a squelching acid disco re-rub think George Clinton tussling with Mr Fingers…
