NEW SINGLE: 'DEATH AT THE CHAPEL' / 'CRAWDADDY SIMONE'
RELEASED ON LOOG - JULY 31st 2006

The Horrors are set to release a new single on Loog Records on the 31st of July 2006.
'Death At The Chapel', recorded in London with producer Dimitri Tikovoi, is the follow up to their sold out debut 'Sheena Is A Parasite' / 'Jack The Ripper' and is released on limited 7" vinyl and DVD. Vinyl copies come backed with their unique take on the Syndicats' Joe Meek produced classic from 1966, 'Crawdaddy Simone' while the DVD features Chris Cunningham's video for 'Sheena Is A Parasite'. The gruesome and brilliant video, Cunningham's first for six years, features an appearance from Oscar - nominated actress Samantha Morton.

Formed in Southend in the Summer of 2005 the band, barely out of their teens, made their live debut last August with a line up of Faris Badwan - Vocals, Tomethy Furse - Bass, Joshua Von Grimm - Guitar, Spider Webb - Organ and Coffin Joe - Drums. They've since built up a loyal following in and around London with a live set that's fast, furious and lasts no more than 15 minutes.
Recent guests of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs at London's Forum, The Horrors set off to play a handful of gigs in Italy before returning to the UK to play their biggest headline show to date at the 100 Club on London's Oxford Street on the 25th of July.
