'Leftield Indie Heroes' (Timeout) Mystery Jets have announced a fourteen date acoustic tour of the UK, commencing in Bristol on the 15th of October and finishing in Glasgow on October 29th.
The dates include gigs in churches, museums and a gig on a tug boat in the middle of Loch Ness.

The Mystery Jets will release a limited edition, vinyl only, acoustic EP at the end of the tour. The EP will include four brand new songs and continues their collaboration with legendary DJ/Producer Erol Alkan. The songs include: - summer festival favourite Half In Love with Elizabeth and Behind the Bunhouse / Umbrellahead from Blaine's ever popular Count Cacolac Myspace. Again these tracks show the bands continuing development taking simple paens to lost love and lost youth alongside their continuing search for new sounds and fresh influences.
The band kicked-off the year with the NME Awards Tour, alongside the Arctic Monkeys and Maximo Park and in May headlined a sold out UK tour. The band also appeared at Reading, Leeds and The Bestival Festivals over the summer and recently performed and helped curate the Syd Barrett Tribute at the Union Chapel.
Mystery Jets debut album Making Dens received great critical applause on its release in March of this year: - The Daily Telegraph raved - 'a refreshing and genuinely oddball treat' , The Independent named it 'the most refreshing debut of the year' and Uncut described the band as 'purveyors of a romantic English Pop in the lineage of The Smiths and The Teardrop Explodes'
