November & December ‘Eel Pie Revue’ Tour
Mystery Jets release their fourth single Alas Agnes through 679 Recordings on 5th December 2005. The single will be released on two 7” and a cd. The first 7” will feature live recordings of Alas Agnes and Electric Fires recorded in June at the Eel Pie Review. The limited bootleg 7” will feature Agnes (live at the Astoria) and b-sides Rastamadeus and Lizzie's Lion both recorded live at Eel Pie. The cd features Electric Fires and The Last Bench. Alas Agnes tells the tale of unrequited love between a young protagonist and Agnes, a stunning Transvestite sat in the back streets of Kings Cross. In order to win Agnes’s heart he takes the drastic step of a sex change only to return and find Agnes has already fallen for a younger prettier muse. Mystery Jets are poised to become one of next years most talked about bands.
Mystery Jets have also announced a mammoth 27-date UK tour throughout November and December titled “Eel Pie Revue”. It will feature a host of 16 bands and friends who have all been apart of the Mystery Jets legendary Eel Pie shindigs. Including the likes of The Noisettes, Larrikin Love, Jamie T, Ludes, Semifinalists, Good Shoes and Moullettes. Tour dates are as follows.
