Maxïmo Park release a new single Girls Who Play Guitars through Warp Records on Monday 20th August. Girls Who Play Guitars is the follow-up to the hit singles Books From Boxes, and the Top Ten smash, Our Velocity. The single will be available on CD single, two x 7” coloured vinyl and download.
All bonus songs are exclusive to this release and include another in the bands obituary series, this time about the American visual artist Joe Brainard (more information on www.joebrainard.org).

Maxïmo Park, who received ecstatic reactions to their sets at Glastonbury, Oxegen and T In The Park, have sold out their October headline tour. Tickets for an additional second night at Glasgow Barrowlands went in hours. The band also play the main stage at the Reading and Leeds festivals in August, ahead of hosting an arena show in their hometown of Newcastle before the end of the year. The full dates are:
