Toronto's Broken Social Scene have blazed into 2006 in impressive style, with a breathtaking shower of critical acclaim greeting the release of their self-titled third album.

The band now announce a single, the bold, breezy and magnificent '7/4 Shoreline', featuring Leslie FEIST on vocals, to be released in the aftermath of their February UK tour.

Having floored audiences at two stunning London shows in late 2005, which were raved about in The Times, The Observer, The Guardian and The Independent, Broken Social Scene return with their staggering two hours + epic live excursion. It's all there... the anthemic pop-rock ensembles, layers of shimmering sound and texture, insidious vocal hooks, arm-raising horn sections, even hushed quiet moments to catch your breath.

There is NO SUPPORT ACT for the tour! Just pure Broken Social Scene bliss all night long. They are "a feast of frentic, euphoric music" (4*, The Guardian), "they somehoiw manage to reinvent the wheel again" (4*, The Independent), not to mention being "a band blissfully bereft of sonic templates" (4* The Times). Do not miss!

Broken Social Scene will return in May at the behest of Dinosaur Jr for the All Tomorrows Parties festival, and for a one-off headline show at Koko in London. Dates below.
